News Desk. Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has come up with a new housing scheme for people who are dreaming of buying their own house in Lucknow. Under the city expansion plan of Sharda Nagar Extension, registration has started for a total of 1,248 flats in Bageshwari Apartment. This includes 2-BHK flats for the middle class and affordable houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Two categories of options in 1,248 flats

936 flats in this scheme are of 2-BHK category. Their area has been kept at 55.25 square meters and the fixed price has been kept at Rs 35 lakh. At the same time, 312 affordable flats are being provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Their area has been fixed at 40.12 square meters and the price has been fixed at Rs 8.99 lakh.

Will get subsidy of Rs 2.50 lakh

Eligible beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be given a subsidy of up to Rs 2.50 lakh by the Central and State Government. If the full subsidy of Rs 2.50 lakh is given out of the fixed price of Rs 8.99 lakh, the effective price of the flat will be around Rs 6.49 lakh. However, subsidy benefits will be available as per eligibility and applicable rules.

Good response to LDA's housing schemes

According to LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar, the authority is bringing new housing schemes keeping in mind the needs of the people. Earlier, more than 8,000 applications were received for 72 flats of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Housing Scheme of Dalibagh.

At the same time, booking of all the flats of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Yojana has also been completed.
